Latest update: I will not be accepting any new work with lengths beyond FIVE pages of Times New Roman, 12 point font, single-spaced layout. I have had to return an author's much longer work because I have been tapped to update the editing on Liam Lawson's first four books in the "An Orc At College" series, as well as the entire "The Horned Mage" series of novellas previously published under a pseudonym. As I have told other authors, I do give his work priority as he has contractural obligations to meet with Amazon. Previous profile information: I have edited pieces from authors here before but because of real life, had to step away for awhile. I would like to return to this activity because I have recently supplied such efforts to an Amazon published author (Liam Lawson's "An Orc At College" series), which has re-awakened my joy in helping others with editing and proof reading. I am NOT shy about suggesting style and grammar corrections so if you are completely wedded to your words, I may not be the best choice for you. In the course of helping, I have settled upon a mode of returning your work in two attachments, one with all the corrections indicated by color and font formatting so that you can accept each change yourself. The second is the "Markup" copy with all changes accepted so that you might read my edited version of your story in finshed form, ready for submission. Since I primarily work with MS Office and Word, it will be easier to see the extent of the changes if you also have Office. I have noticed that the transcribing to Google Docs does leave out most of my font colors that help denote what kind of change has been made but I'm not sure how else to send a .docx file in Gmail so it displays properly.
