Years ago in 1991
I espied a stranger in a neighbourin'
Window .........
A shy new bride
Her husband came out 'n
Enveloped her in bearhug soon..........
Yesterday in 2014
I saw a thickset matron
Hangin' clothes out to dry ....
In the same window .....
Wondered what happened......
In the interregum ?
Reflected ... Figured out .......
Children .....middle age ....diseases....
A sharp pang of Nostalgia
Penetrated my thick skull .....
( some things Do get thru'
U know ?)
The heavy set matron soon
Transformed back in
My imagina-'shun....
Into a sweet , demure , newly -wed
Bride ...............
Yesterday , once more .....
Thank you........Beatles .......
