I fly along on love's light wings;
I soar and glide above them all.
And in my heart a song that sings,
Then suddenly I start to fall.

Downward I spiral until at last
I reach the ground of pain.
The love once held is in the past,
Now only I remain.

Through every heart I search for one;
Someone kind and mending.
Someone to laugh with and have fun,
Someone who won't mind bending.

I need a heart that doesn't cry.
One that will not break.
For eternal love is but a lie;
My spirit and soul this love did take.

And then the breeze picks up again,
My feet and heart do try.
Suddenly I feel alive,
Again I start to fly.
