Christ , Buddha , Mandela , Guevera
Great men were always moved by
The plight of the poor----
Mother Theresa , Hellen Keller , Indira Gandhi
Great women too were
Moved by sufferin' masses
Can Poets close their eyes
To misery &
Write only about enchanted moonlight
,gardens, mountains , rivers, leaf or tree
In Ivory towers cravin' Natural beauty ??
The Gift of Poetry should open
The world's eyes to Reality
Or else it may turn into a Curse
For the One Who granted it
Can take it away at Will
Then o Poet lowly
Pig's broth thou shalt swill ..........
