Memories, bloody memories

This was like living part of my life over again. Playing on the bomb sites in South East London after the war, drinking tea, which I still do in great quantities, and visiting soho for the first time, and doing a 'runner' when we realised one of us 'accidentally' hadn't paid. Even trying to 'pull' one of the strippers in a pub afterwards, but unsuccessfully I have to add.

The arrival of computors, and programing in fortran 2D (if I remember correctly), and huge stacks of puch cards, which you fed into a huge machine in a special air conditioned room.

Then France!

I`ve now lived and worked in France for the last seventeen years, and I even own not one, but two of those diabolical hydraulic suspensioned Citreon cars. The famous Citreon DS, one of them a fabulous DS21 Pallas from1969 which we've just restored, and I drive regularly around the countryside.

Very brave to try the French like that. I did understand it, though it wasn't exactly the French that I use every day __ mais ca va. Just a tad formal (and that's the same word in French as well)

Manifique! __ Tres bon effort ___ merci bien!

I can't get this damn program to change this comment from Anonymous to my username -------

I address this to the anonymous reader who tells me I'm an Idiot for using terms like Mum or Mummy. May I point out to you something you missed. The story was set in 1960's Britain, when those terms were commonly used, but of course you were so concerned with your bigotry you didn't see that.To those who actually read my story and took the trouble to comment, thankyou.

A fabulous tale from sixties Britain

This is a work of art. The characters are utterly credible and the story draws one in. To write a credible erotic tale requires some skill, but to extend the story into an extended eight-chapter book requires serious talent. Encore! Encore!

Captivating, Exhilarating And Long

The story was captivated from start to finish. It also was exhilarating to see that Danny and Len finally made everything work in their relationship and lives. The only problem that was it was a long piece to read but it was worth every minute.

A really great story

At the beginning, I was wondering why a man would be falling for a stripper. Then I wondered how Danny, being married, was going to be able to spend time with Len, without being adulterous. I had several other questions as the story unfolded, but your storytelling ability held my interest until all my questions were answered, and then some. It was a great story--romantic as well as erotic. Thanks for writing it.

Thank You

Thank you for this lovely story. It isn't exactly the kind of story I expect from Literotica, but I did enjoy it very much, reading "Len" to learn how the tale would unravel, finding pleasure in the characters as they are revealed, and being satisfied by the clarity of the writing (though I'm not sure that the translations from the French were necessary).

Thank you for a good tale well told.

This is undoubtedly the best story I have read in all of Litrotica, it deserves more than 5 stars. The story flow, the verbal description are outstanding. The gentle tension and story twists were well planned. PLEASE write more.

You've pegged the Literotica style meter with this one!

Herein you've incorporated an abundance of the aspects that make a story a GREAT read. If there is anything not to love about Len I am totally oblivious because from my perspective (as well as many other Lit readers) this is one of the best stories on the site. Superb, heartwarming ending.

Well done Kezza and hopefully more from you will be coming our way.

Thank you very much!

the word love while conveys a general feeling, my fiancee and I often get into this and all I can say that like my feelings for my lady, the care of those around the two characters meet that same level--infinity + 1. we have just been witness to a strong romance and love story all woven together

A Tour de Force

If this had been fired from a gun, it wouldn't have been a sniper's rifle, it would have been a twelve gauge shotgun. Both barrels! You put everything in there, held nothing back. You took my emotions up, down, and sideways, exercising my feelings as Danny did to Len the night of her Big O.

And then on page five you planted that paragraph about how the Americans, British, and French make and drink their coffee. Fortunately I had just set my drink down on the coffee table when I came to the description of American coffee as jet fuel, or I would have sprayed whiskey all over my new carpet. My two small dogs, sleeping peacefully while I read, woke up and looked at me as if I were crazy, whooping with laughter as I went through that paragraph.

It's late now, but I shall write you a private message soon. For now, I'll just say that I am overjoyed to have found your stories. Thank you for sharing them with me.

Good show! I enjoyed your story immensely. I was dismayed by the rape of Leanne, but it was part of the tale and is what it is. Your sex scenes were well presented and not somewhat held back as some U.K. writers have done. I must check out your story listings for more entertainment. Thanks! Cheers!

Empathy with Len

A moving tale told brilliantly, well crafted and with perfect pace. Good job recreating an era quickly fading into history. I empathize with Len as l, too, found no pleasure of my own in sexual matters and wondered why any woman would voluntarily endure the pain. What was wrong with me? Unfortunately I didn't find my 'Danny' who gave me my first orgasm til I was past 50! Of course, now I realize it wasn't me but rather my previous partners' clumsy efforts. I'm rapidly making up for lost time though. ;-D

4*s for the story

The rape at the end was completely forced. (I know what I did there.)

Also, what I don't get is, why is aborting the rapist's spawn or even taking a morning after pill not even considered as an option?

This is actually a problem as retaining an unwanted pregnancy seems to be a go-to theme running throughout the Literotica author's community. I guess logic goes for a toss when it comes to artistic license.

AnonymousAnonymousover 7 years ago
@Anon 7/11/16

You realize this story took place like in the 70's or possibly before (sorry, I don't recall the exact time). Remember, Len was surprised that Danny had a shower in his place. Back then the social mindset was extremely conservative, so I really don't think abortion was an option. Mind you, not exactly sure about this either, but I don't think the morning after pill existed back then. Another thing to point out is that Len was so emotionally distressed and overwhelmed by the experience she probably couldn't think rationally, assuming the ma pill existed.

That issue aside, this will always be one of my favourite stories on Lit. Well deserved five stars, hands down. And no, I don't think the rape was "forced". Lol I had a good chuckle over that, Anon.

Magnifique!

Oui, une grande histoire (I spoke French also)

Yes, a great story.

Regarding the comment of another reader, why Len did not have an abortion, or take the morning-after pill, the reader should take into account the date on which the story unfolds, abortion was illegal, and the pill then there was not invented yet.

I find this story is a romantic drama with a happy ending.

I liked it a lot.

5* for you.

I apologize for my English (French also), is not my native language.

I'm always happy when a long lost couple find each other

love and romance make a good story better.

I wish Len had not endured the travesty, had come to the decision to retire and support him in his new business on her own. She didn't need the trauma.

The cynic in me has to ask if the rape was included to have Danny choose to marry and stay with Len shortly after divorcing his wife rather than raise the child of another man.

Ib_SaysIb_Saysover 7 years ago
Gratuitous rape ruined everything

The first six and a half was a beautiful building romance, then it was destroyed by the rape, an innocence was lost that ruined the sweetness of the story, worse it was boring, a whole dry bit of 'telling rather than showing'.

As a plot device and a way to add drama, rape is a poor and tasteless one.

Len had unwillingly shared something with another man that until this point was exclusive to the one she loved

Then that dreary situation is compunded by Len carrying the baby of her rapist, an eternal reminder.

If the author wanted them to have children they could always have adopted, instead of having Danny's wife, in both marriages, carrying another man's child.

It went from a five star story to a two star ending for me.

AnonymousAnonymousabout 7 years ago
Danny did the honourable thing: wonder if others would

Re the comments on Len’s rape: why should the incident be essentially regarded as non-mentionable? If the rapist got his just desserts and/or died, then who cares? At least Danny did an honourable thing, especially since he couldn’t father children. A lovely story with more than a touch of reality One comment appeared to imply condoning rape. Perhaps the guy should re-think his attitude to women

Great story, but you need an editor

Love the characters and story, but you might want to look into getting an editor. The line breaks before the dialogue make it hard to keep track of who is talking and some other errors took me out of the story.

Keep this up and you are going places!

So deep, so touching, so loving

How dare a lay reader as myself comment on such a nice piece of writing? Of course I would love to have the ability of writing with you skills, even in my native languages (Spanish or Portuguese). But then I feel that I owe you at least my poorly written comments in return for your very nice story.

Having lived in London some decades ago and knowing some of the towns and places you mention put me in contact with a very concrete setting of your story. I wonder how you manage to describe places casually enough to not interrupt the flow of the story while connecting the reader with the settings, whether in Devon, on the train to Paddington or in a bistrot in Paris.

I didn't experience war time England, but we had a nice lady downstairs which was of that time and shared with us her stories when we went for a stroll, she on her wheelchair, we with our baby stroller. Your remembrances resonated with hers.

And then there is your dealing with "your" wife's infidelity, your attitude so attuned with a culture quite different from the American one we so frequently see reflected here. In spite of some shallow comments above, your dealing with sterility, infidelity and with rape reflect a humanitarian view of social relations with which I very much identified.

I arrived looking for a stripper story and I got a much richer experience.

Thanks!

AnonymousAnonymousabout 2 years ago

I like the pace of the storytelling and characterisations, even if the prose is a little pedestrian in parts. Like a few of the other commenters, I'm not a fan of the rape storyline which reads as a plot device rather than as a piece of the rest of the story. And even if it had to be included, the lack of discussion on whether or not to abort the product of rape is a serious omission (abortion was legalised in England in 1967, so would have been an option, given the timeline of this story)

There are not many stories on Literotica that aren't mostly titillating sex, and then also great romance. Kezza67 has manged to this repeatedly, both raising the readers excitement with tremendous story line while warming our hearts and bringing hope for a better future.
