Congratulations, and especially thank you, to Laurel and Manu for providing the Literotica site.

It clearly satisfies a need for those amateur authors who wish to see their stories published, for those who simply like reading erotic stories of many and varied types, and for the commentariat who take the opportunity to comment and interact with authors and each other.

As one who falls mainly into that last category, I do hope that some time soon a way will be found to restore real-time posting of comments as part of the improvements to the site. The outbreak of spam by 'ladies who will delight you' led to the current system of moderation which I find almost as annoying as the spam. The extended delays in comment posting has reduced the interactions which were a feature of the comments threads.

Well done so far. I wish Literotica a further successful twenty years.

It's always been fun reading stories on Literotica. There are very few sites, I imagine, that have been around 20 years. Congratulations. There is one huge problem I must mention. It's this "comment moderation" thing. I understand that spamming was a problem and why you would want to get rid of it. The cure is far, far worse than the disease. Comments, especially in categories that get a lot of comments, are down, views are down, votes are down. I am very unlikely to make a comment on a story when I know it may be eight hours, and even 24 hours, before that comment will show up. For some of us, being able to interact with authors and other readers is a huge part of the enjoyment of the site. That is being killed, and I expect will just get worse.. You either need to drastically speed up the process or get rid of it, altogether, because it is killing the enjoyment of the site for many readers. I wish you 20 more years of success. By far the best free erotic literature website in the world... and I'm guessing there are not any paid sites that are better either since I've never subscribed to one. :D

Literotica was a wonderful discovery for me a few years ago. I have enjoyed reading the stories (and the comments), especially the LW offerings. These writers give of themselves and many are very vulnerable. Some of the insights into relationships and problem solving are amazingly accurate and astute. Keep them coming.

As an author you all have done so much with this site to let me find a voice and a place to explore. I have met so many wonderful people on the chat and the fans have supported my work. A crazy question, for long time LIT readers, that I wonder about for some time now:

Is Just Plain Bob the same author that used to be under the moniker Beating Off Bob?

Some of you may know the former way more than the latter, but B.o.B. used to be a big deal, like, 20 years ago, for erotic stories online, not around here, but pretty much every else. Haven't seen any new story from him in ages... Meanwhile, there's this other guy that wrote TONS of stories that went as Just Plain that we all know about

I liked them both, and am just wondering, for some times now, if Bob merely was done beating off and slightly changed his name ..

If anyone know anything about it, please let me know!

All of us recall a commercial with the sponsor touting their time in the industry. "This is our 'this many' years. But, you guys? 20 years? That's like dog years on the internet. Cell phones were the size of bricks and just as dumb as. Monochrome Window95 was in use everywhere. Crap, 27" TUBE tv's were the best you could get. Congrats. However, either delete the news update on the face screen or update it.

Thanks for having the foresight to realise that the WWW needed a site such as this for budding authors to have a platform and for readers to be able to find such literature.

A few people I know whom I`ve directed in this sites direction admitted that they thought it was more or less along the lines of a "letter to the editor" site in a porn mag, and have been shocked not only by the variety of subjects, but also the professionalism of the site itself and also of the authors.

I have been registered for a while but had to register under my current name due to massive problems where I lost not only my email addy but also my password list (yes I had a list for different sites lol) anyway, new email account meant new everything.

Anyway, congratulations on your FIRST 20 years!!

I've always loved to read but with so much going on in life sometimes its hard to find the time or motivation to flick through the pages. It is not like that with the stories that reside here... Strange to think this website is as old as I am; haven't been here for long, only found it a few years ago during my late teenage years - a critical time that helped develop and cultivate my tastes and preferences all via a far more tasteful alternative to pornography...

It sure has been a long time. I got lured here by someone named "Tim" that wrote me about some business. I traced the domain back and have been here ever since. That was somewhere back around the late 90's or early 2000.
